ABOUT
PAWS-ABILITY
Paws-Ability is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that raises funds to assist local rescue groups and support our programs to improve animal welfare in Brunswick County, North Carolina. Established in 2007 as a 501(c)(3), we have served our local area for over 17 years and have helped thousands of animals live better, healthier, lives. We are proud of the fact that we pay no salaries. Over 94% of the funds raised goes directly to the animals.
​Current Programs Are:
We partner with local animal rescue groups and our local shelter to help fund the extraordinary medical costs for their animals so they can be adopted into loving, forever homes. In addition, we have programs to assist pet guardians in times of financial need when their pet becomes severely ill or injured. A priority program is spay/neuter, a vital component of reducing the number of unwanted and unhoused animals.
Throughout the year we raise funds at BandFest, our annual Golf Tournament, and other events. You might even see us at local markets and festivals, where we have Paws-Ability t-shirts, hats, and other merchandise for sale, as well as literature on our organization and its programs.
